Operational History

One of the earliest second-generation Arm Slaves, the Rk-89 Shamrock was used against United States-backed resistance forces in Afghanistan. It was later used against United States military forces in Iraq. Following the introduction of the Rk-92 Savage in 1992, as well as the introduction of the M6 Bushnell, the first second-generation Arm Slave in United States military service, the Rk-89 Shamrock was almost entirely phased out of service.
